How to capture the log

Serial Monitor

Connect the ESP32 via the USB-C power port. Open a serial terminal at 115200 baud and power cycle the device.

  • Command: idf.py monitor -p COM3
  • Or use Arduino IDE / PlatformIO serial monitor
  • Copy from the boot banner through USB enumeration
  • No line limit — more is better

You do not need to fill in device details manually. We read these directly from your log:

  • UPS manufacturer + model (USB strings)
  • VID:PID (USB enumeration)
  • Firmware version (boot banner)
  • ESP-IDF version (boot banner)
  • Operating mode (standalone / NUT client / bridge)
What happens next

Review Process

Submissions land in a private staging area and are reviewed before anything is published.

  • Log parsed for device identity + field decode
  • Issues cross-referenced with log output
  • Device added to confirmed list or bug filed
  • Raw logs deleted after review
